Kiishi stove

On monday a stove was completed at Kiishi primary school. Kiishi is higher up on the mountain. We have allowed our stove building work to extend on the slopes of the mountain as wasting firewood is not acceptable anywhere. And getting a smoke free kitchen is of course as important there as anywhere else. (Water tanks are strictly for the dryer lowlands)

The stove was built by Ndanu and Iddy. It was funded through Liana by Heidi. Thank you all of you!

There was some drama along the way transporting the materials as a mentally ill woman smashed the windscreen by a large stone. / Matkalla oli draamaa kun henkisesti sairas nainen paiskasi kiven tuulilasiin.

And there was a a puncture too. / Ja lisäksi tuli vielä rengasrikko.

Maanantaina valmistui hella Kiishin alakoululle. Kiishi on korkeammalla vuoren rinteessä. Olemme sallineet hellan rakentamisen leviävän myös ylemmäs rinteeseen, sillä ei polttopuun haaskaaminen ole sen hyväksyttävämpää sielläkään. Ja savuttoman hellan saaminen on tärkeää kaikkialla. (Vesitankit säästämme kuiville tasangoille).
