Yhdellä koululla taas asiat tulevaisuudessa paremmin! Osan vuodesta lasten ei tarvitse kantaa vettä joka päivä kouluun ruoan keittämistä, juomista ja käsienpesua varten. Vettä riittää ainakin puoleksi vuodeksi tästä yhdestä vesitankista. Vaikka sateet tulevatkin vähän odottamattomasti, aina ne silti tulevat. Pohjois-Tansaniassa on yksi pääsadekausi huhti-toukokuussa ja toinen pieni sadekausi marras-joulukuussa. Kamani on aivan Pare-vuorten kupeessa Mwangan piirikunnassa.
Tankin rahoitti Lianan puolelta Miika, Lianan varapuheenjohtaja. Hän halusi rakennuttaa tankin isänsä Ilkan muistolle. Lämmin kiitos siitä. Rakentajina toimivat Ndanu, Apendaeli, Tumaini, Anoldi ja Hassan. Kiitos heille. Kolme heistä saivat myös makuupussinsa. Tankin mukana menivät myös käsienpesusysteemit.

Again things will be better at one school in the future. For part of the year, children do not have to carry water to school every day for cooking, drinking and handwashing. There will be enough water for at least half a year from this one water tank. Even though the rains come a bit unpredictably, they always come. In northern Tanzania, there is one main rainy season in April-May and another small rainy season in November-December. Kamani is right by the Pare mountains in Mwanga district.
The tank was funded on Liana’s side by Miika, Liana’s vice chairman. He wanted to have this tank built in memory of his father Ilkka. Warm thanks for that. The builders were Ndanu, Apendaeli, Tumaini, Anoldi and Hassan. Thanks to them too. Three of them also got their sleeping bags. And as usual, the tank was accompanied with two handwashing systems.
