Last week we built a water tank for a school located high on the Pare mountains. This is exceptional as we normally assist schools in the dry lowlands. The school is called Changaja Cleopas Msuya secondary school. We built this tank at the request and by the funding of another organization, the Sustainable Global Garden (SGG) (https://www.sustainableglobalgardens.org.uk/). SGG is an organization founded in the UK by Paul and Carole Keeley. Among other things, it plants trees with schools and farmers. We have worked with them in the past. The money for the Wama elementary school stove came through them from their local Rotary Club and also the Mengeni school stove was funded by SGG. The water tank was completed on Thursday (i.e. yesterday). Handwashing kits also go to every school that builds a water tank. They are especially needed now. Thank you to everyone who makes this work possible! The builders were Ndanu, Musa, Antipasi, Rama, Apendaely.
Rakensimme poikkeuksellisesti vesitankin korkealla Parevuorilla sijaitsevalle koululle. Koulu on nimeltään Changaja Cleopas Msuya secondary school. Rakensimme tämän tankin toisen järjestön, Sustainable Global Gardenin (SGG) pyynnöstä (https://www.sustainableglobalgardens.org.uk/). SGG on Paul ja Carole Keeleyn perustama järjestö Britanniassa. Se mm istuttaa puita koulujen ja viljelijöiden kanssa. Olemme jo aiemminkin tehneet yhteistyötä heidän kanssaan. Waman alakoulun hellan rahat tulivat heidän kauttaan heidän paikalliselta Rotary Clubiltaan ja myös Mengenin koulun hellan rahoitti SGG. Vesitankki valmistui torstaina (eli eilen). Käsienpesulaitteet menevät myös jokaiselle koululle, joka rakentaa vesitankin. Niitä tarvitaan nyt erityisen paljon. Kiitollisena kaikille, jotka mahdollistavat tämän työn!
